You walk onto the sands at the lowest part of Benden Wyer, as you approach the patch of sand, you see two bunches of eggs as you glance at the one to your left you think wow two queen eggs I wonder who the new queen riders will be... and then as you look to your right you see 10 more eggs lying over there, I hope one of them hatches for me! you think as you walk towards the sands and possibly your destiny....
3/10 eggs hatched 0/2 queen eggs
Current count: 2 green 1 blue 0 brown 0 bronze 0 gold

.....as you walk to the sands, the gold queen raises her head suddenly. One of the eggs in the bunch of ten begins to rock a little. The queen watches it a minute, then raises her head and begins a deep thrum.
The hum is infectious. It spreads through the wyer, as dragons take up the call. Soon after, a few begin to arrive on the ledges above the sands. The hatching has begun.
OOC: Feel free to jump in as candidates (except for the people who have dragons - you can rp if you want, as a spectator.)

T'ran stood by the side of the sands and watched the egg begin to hatch, remember the day I hatched Craganth asked him "Of course I do Crag, you were the strongest dragonet there"...

Kyra, almost at the last minute, comes racing into the sands at top speed. She pulls to a stop near T'ran and Craganth, panting. I didn't miss anything, did I? No. Good.

OOC: I don't know how you guys RP here, some places use asterisks, others use quotes. I can always change to however it is.
BIC: *Emmy stood silently with the rest of the white robe clad candidates, waiting for the first dragon to break forth from its egg. She shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the other. What if she didn't get a dragon? Then she'd wait for another hatching. But still... Emmy bit her lip. If there was one thing she hated, it was things like this. Potentially embarrassing.*

OOC: I prefer to use quotes..but T'ran can make the rules, I guess.
BIC:
The first of the eggs, the one that had originally begun to move, suddenly appeared to implode. A brilliant green dragon landed on the sand in a tangle of limbs. The queen thingyed her head at the green dragonet, as the hatchling scrambed to her feet and began to stumble over the unhatched eggs. Directly towards a female candidate, Emmy. The green dragon stopped in front of the girl and immediately set up an instistent whine. Feeeed meee....Kishoth is huungrryyy...
Kyra nodded slightly. Greens are good. Not lucky like a bronze would be, but still a good omen. The gold dragon shifted position to look toward the other, unhatched eggs. Any hatching at all is good.
Before Kyra could answer, the next egg began to crack...
OOC: You get control of Kishoth now, Emmy...congrats, you're a greenrider!

OOC: *Digs* Where's my die?......hah, found it. Okay....
BIC:
...the second egg cracked slowly down the middle, and a lithe dragon climbed out - another green! The female dragonet stood amongst the remains of her egg for a moment, before her eyes settled on Ruby. The green appeared to think about the other candidates for a moment, but she finally approached the waiting girl. I am Riliosth....why are you so nervous?
OOC: The die has spoken......Ruby, you're also a greenrider! Again, you've got control of Riliosth now.

Also just for everyone to know
when you have a hatching either Kyra or I will roll a die and if you're a girl then if it's evens (I think) it's a gold and odds it's a green. if you're a guy 6 is bronze 5 is brown 3 and 4 are blue and 2 and 1 are green.

Aregeni stood amongst the male candidates on the sands, watching the clutch of eggs carefully. Two had already hatched, both greens. .....I want a brown. He continued staring at the eggs, outwardly calm. Inwardly, however, he wanted to melt into the background - except that if he did, how would a hatchling find him? Shards, I have a dilemma here...
Another dragon egg cracked, sending a blue dragon flopping into the sand. It laid there for a moment, before Alyith gave it a nudge. The blue wobbled away from his mother with a squeak, and approached the small group of male candidates. Aregeni stared at it. A blue? The neon blue hatchling pranced over to Aregeni. I'm Dilemmath, and my job is to give you a sense of humor! Dilemmath?! Aregeni stared, confused, at the blue as the two moved away from the eggs...

*E'kan stood patiently, his ever assessing mind going through all the possiblities. He shifted from foot to foot. There was so much to worry about...*

There was a short pause after Dilemmath's hatching, as if the other eggs were taking a breath. Then, two cracked. One hatched first, a brown. The other chipped, but stopped moving. The brown, a strong, well built dragonet, paced out of the egg and glanced through the candidates, before approaching E'ken. You are E'ken. E'ken blinked. Yes, but your name is the important one. I am Mihkath. The brown stopped at E'ken's feet, blinking at him thoughtfully. I have chosen you. Right...E'ken was already running through the pros and cons of being bonded to a brown...
